NLA PORTAL ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

The goal of the NLA portal is to promote accessibility to all its users. 

To this end, the following facilities have been made available on this portal:

1. Assistive Technology Portal (for people with disabilities)
The user interface supports assistive technology used by people with disabilities, including.

           - screen and Braille readers

           - text browsers

           - screen magnifiers

You can access these alternative views by registering with the portal and following MyNLA > My Account > Display Options

2. Transcripts of Audio and video content.

It is the NLA’s intention to satisfy the W3C “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines”.

                        a. Provide equivalent alternatives to auditory and visual content.

                        b. Don't rely on colour alone.

                        c. Use markup and style sheets and do so properly.

                        d. Clarify natural language usage.

                        a. Create tables that transform gracefully.

                        e. Ensure that pages featuring new technologies transform gracefully.

                        f. Ensure user control of time-sensitive content changes.

                        g. Ensure direct accessibility of embedded user interfaces.

                        h. Design for device-independence.

                        i. Use interim solutions.

                        j. Use W3C technologies and guidelines.

                        k. Provide context and orientation information.

                        l. Provide clear navigation mechanisms.

                        m. Ensure that documents are clear and simple
